Wow. I cry every time I sing that song, and I cried just reading it now. Those words are so powerful. "Sin's curse has lost its grip on me." What freedom. What a Savior we have.
I love "Light of the world by darkness slain, then BURSTING forth in GLORIOUS day, up from the grave He ROSE AGAIN!" That's the foundation, the cornerstone of the Christian faith. Without the resurrection, we have nothing, no hope. So therein lies ALL our hope. Jesus defeated death. Therefore death holds no fear for us. How beautiful!
It reminds of the God I serve every time I sing it. I love it. In fact - Casey, Sheri and I went to a church in DC this weekend and we sang it. It made me realize how awesome it is going to be in heaven with all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. What an amazing and awesome God we serve!!
